Contract tariffs available from Vodafone are either 12 or 18 months long, and are based on customers monthly budgets. Tariffs offer a mixture of inclusive anytime minutes and text messages – amounts of each vary according to the prices.

Tariffs are structured in order to cater for different customers, for example, there are two Vodafone tariffs which start at £25.00 per month, with the first providing the customer with 800 minutes and 1000 texts and the other with 1200 minutes and 250 texts.

Vodafone also include a number of extras with their 18 month contracts, such as extra minutes, offering the first 6 months of the contract at half price, and cheaper evening and weekend calls.

Pay As You Talk

Vodafone operate two main PAYG tariffs for mobiles on their network. These can be upgraded with a range of extras which provide free and discounted calls at certain times of the day, and a set number of free messages a month for a small monthly fee. The main Vodafone Pay as you Talk tariffs available are:

• Anynet – Anynet is the default Pay as you Talk phone price plan, which provides flat rate calls to all other networks in the daytime, and a discounted rate in the evenings.


• Anytime – the Anytime price plan offers users the same rates on calls and texts as Anynet, but you can make calls at the discounted rate at any time of the day, after having made 3 minutes worth of qualifying calls at the normal daytime rate.

The following extras can be added to either of the Vodafone PAYG phone plans:

• Vodafone Stop the Clock – This extra allows you to talk for up to 60 minutes at evenings and weekends for the price of 3. This includes calls to any UK landline or mobile number regardless of network.


• Free Weekends – The Free Weekends extra allows you to qualify for free cross-network calls and texts to other mobiles. When you spend over £5 of your top-up during the week, you are then able to apply for free weekend calls and texts. You can still qualify for free weekend texts if you spend just £2.50 of your credit a week.


• Add an Extras Pack – Text or Voice – The Vodafone Extras Packs give you a number of free calls and texts for a fixed fee. The minutes and texts that you get Extras Packs are all inclusive and can be used across any network, as you would be able to on the Anynet and Anytime plans.
