The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 has performed well in a recent review.
According to an assessment by Mobile Choice, the Pearl 8120 smartphone handset scored a total of four out of five, particularly in the areas of performance, ease of use and overall look and feel.
However, the handset did drop a star for its on-board feature portfolio and the life of the handset's battery.
"The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 has a few upgraded features compared with the original and is much more desirable, but it still lacks 3G," said Mobile Choice.
"[However, the 8120 is] another slinky, thin-format BlackBerry, adding Wi-Fi into the Pearl mix," it added.
In addition to Wi-Fi, the handset is also equipped with support for EDGE and quad-band GSM.
The first of the BlackBerry handsets was released in 1999, complete with a number of different features, including push email-support, internet access and text messaging.
