Distributors offered incentives to push BlackBerry service

Retailers are being offered ongoing revenue if they push TrackTech's eMerit BlackBerry banking application.

The software allows users to process credit card transactions on their mobile phones, reports Mobile News.

A Merchant Banking Service does not need to be used by those who use the e-commerce solution because it connects via the BlackBerry Internet Service or Enterprise Server.

Use of the program may be particularly attractive to businesses because it comes without any labels on it so it can be customised to contain advertising or branding individual to the firm.

In addition to enabling payments online, the application also allows a shopping cart module to be used to calculate payments against products or services.

An expert on the BlackBerry recently published a series of tips on IT Business for quicker use of the mobile phone.

Among Margaret Genet's hints are typing shortcuts, such as capitalising letters by holding them down and inserting dates by pressing the L, D and Space keys.
