Mobile phones can be a tool in helping businesses with their emergency contingency plans, advises the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Reporting the comments, Mobile Marketing News reveals that technology such as BlackBerry mobiles were highlighted as particularly advantageous - both in case of mishap and for everyday flexible working.
Kelly Ostler-Coyle from the ABI commented: "It's a lot easier now to communicate with people from outside of the workplace than it has been in the past."
She added that although problems had arisen from the increase in technology, so had the solutions available to deal with problems.
Earlier in the month, BlackBerry announced the launch of the Curve 8330 smartphone, with a full Qwerty keyboard in a compact size - as well as access to services such as Sprint TV and Music Store.
Business mobile phone users can also taken advantage of the access to GPS navigation, web browsing, full contacts and standard organisational tools from BlackBerry.
