BT has said it will come up with an "innovative solution" for a village that currently has neither mobile phone signal or broadband connection, reports the BBC.
The 200 residents of Gwytherin, Conwy live in an area dubbed a "dead zone" because of its lack of signal, an issue which is currently being investigated by Ofcom.
A spokesperson for BT Openreach told the corporation: "We will now be holding a further meeting with local assembly members and representatives from the community in the near future to discuss an innovative new proposal which we hope will lead to a permanent solution."
Fixed-line access is also intermittent and a recent fire has heightened concerns over communications access.
Mobile phone users who are considering changing networks can use services such as T-Mobile's StreetCheck to ascertain which network can provide a strong mobile signal in their area.
