A new mobile service will allow customers to download an unlimited number of tunes to their phones, as part of their contract.
The service, Music Station Max, has been developed by Omnifone which has announced that consumers can take advantage of a pre-licensed arrangement with major record labels.
Chief executive of Omnifone Rob Lewis said: "Consumers will come to expect unlimited mobile music downloads direct to their phone, whenever they want."
LG will be the first mobile manufacturer to introduce the service and is set to release the LG MusicStation Max handsets later in the year.
Omnifone has also explained that although contracts last for either 12 or 18 months, customers can keep the songs even after the contract ends, which could challenge other music download services.
The service has already been awarded the Best Mobile Music Service Award at the Global Mobile Awards, which is part of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
