LG has confirmed that it plans to release a new version of its Prada-branded mobile phone.
The market for designer phones has grown strongly in recent years, with Armani, Versace and Ted Baker among the fashion houses to team up with mobile manufacturers.
One of the most successful partnerships has been the Prada Phone by LG, which was the first mobile to feature complete touchscreen technology.
Famed for its sleek all-black design, the phone also came with an extra-wide LCD screen, two-megapixel camera and MP3 player.
The companies recently announced that more than one million Prada Phone by LG handsets have been sold since its launch in March 2007.
LG now plans to build on that success by launching a new Prada handset, which will be available to European mobile users in the final quarter of 2008.
The hi-tech firm has not made details of the new phone's features public, but internet rumours suggest it will come with a complete slide-out qwerty keyboard and five-megapixel camera.
Confirmation that the LG Prada II will hit the shops before the end of the year came just days after the planned launch of the Emporio Armani Samsung Mobile Night Effect was announced.
Samsung's new designer handset will feature an LED display on its side, which will glow blue, red or green when the user is on a call, as well as a three-megapixel camera and an FM radio.
The Night Effect, which will be available for UK mobile users to buy before Christmas, also comes with an Emporio Armani-branded neck strap and case.
