German sports car manufacturer Porsche has added to the burgeoning market for high-end mobile phones by revealing its own new handset.
Available next month, the P'9521 will be distributed by Carphone Warehouse and is likely to appeal to both motor enthusiasts and owners of luxury designer goods, Register Hardware reports.
While no details of contracts or retail value have yet been released, the product is likely to command a sustantial price tag due to its aluminium casing and 'dark mineral glass' cover, which can also function as a mirror.
However, in terms of other features the device does seem behind the times, particularly considering some of the other phones which have been launched in recent months, something which is "at odds with the handset's sports car branding", according to the technology website.
Nonetheless, the P'9521 does boast a 3.2 megapixel camera and its sleek and contemporary design is exactly what people have come to expect from the German giant of sophistication.
Based in Stuttgart, Porsche was founded in 1931 by Austrian engineer Ferdinand Porsche.
