A row has broken out between mobile phone network Orange and handset manufacturer Nokia over the introduction of a range of new internet services.
Nokia's launch of its Ovi internet portal yesterday, including the Nokia Music Store, has reportedly not gone down well with Orange, which already has its own music store from which more than 100,000 tracks are downloaded every month.
A leaked memo has suggested that bosses at Orange are refusing to stock Nokia's flagship N81 device and offer access to Ovi as it may take business away. Orange proposed to trial separate music stores on the N81, but Nokia has refused to respond, Mobile Today reports.
The memo from Orange states: "If Nokia declines this opportunity, we will need to work with other manufacturers to close the connections shortfall we would expect from deranging the device."
Nokia launched Ovi yesterday alongside four other devices aimed at the entertainment and gaming sector.
