O2 mobile customers could be interested to know that the 3G version of the popular iPhone is set to launch in the UK next month, with free handsets to be given to high-spending customers.
It has been reported by the Telegraph that as the head of Apple Steve Jobs reveals the new model in California tomorrow, O2 will be continuing to exclusively offer the handset in the UK.
Features expected to enhance the latest model include faster mobile internet access and GPS - which could be offered as a complimentary phone to those on the most expensive contracts with O2.
Reports suggest that Apple is hoping to build on the 5.4 million iPhones sold, increasing the number to 10 million by the close of 2008.
Earlier in the year, O2 announced a special offer where customers could purchase the 8GB model for the reduced price of £169 for a limited time.
