Jon Bentley, co-presenter of Five's The Gadget Show, has predicted that Apple's new iPhone will be universally popular.
He said that Apple has "started a revolution" about how people view the mobile phone thanks in part to the iPhone's vast array of user-friendly features.
The new iPhone has most of its predecessor's features but now includes 3G, which Apple has said will double download speeds.
Rather than being expensive, awkward and difficult to use, the new iPhone is something that is easy to use and has a "delightful" interface, he stated.
"It has things going on in the background like widgets to tell you what the weather is going to be like and stuff like that. I can see that really starting to catch on," he added.
The Gadget Show reviews the latest in consumer technology in a series of tests and challenges, and delivers the latest news from the world of gadgetry.
