Anticipation of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is already overshadowing the excitement over the latest gadgets, according to the Times.
The annual exhibition showcases the latest in technological developments, including new mobile phones and mobile internet services and attracts up to 14,000 delegates.
Gadgets include tiny projectors that can fit inside a mobile phone, while talks led by expert panels will explain why services such as Personalised Mobile may shape the future of phone technology.
Products such as the much anticipated offering from Google, which is expected to be launched in conjunction with Orange in 2008 are expected to be shown at the CES.
It was announced earlier this year that the internet search engine was in talks with the mobile service provider to create a phone that will utilise Google's tools, aimed at a younger generation of consumer than the iPhone or Blackberry.
The CES will be held from January 7th-10th.
