Orange has launched the new BlackBerry Bold smartphone for customers in the UK, it has been announced.
The first BlackBerry smartphone to support high-speed 3G and 3G+ HSDPA networks, the handset has the ability to support voice and data applications simultaneously, and comes with a GPS-enabled sat-nav system and Wi-Fi.
It also has a "rich set" of features, including an intuitive user interface and newly-designed Qwerty keyboard.
As well as a phone, it boasts email, an instant messaging service, the internet and an integrated organiser. It can build playlists of favorite songs and organise media files.
Moreover, BlackBerry Media Sync allows handset owners to transfer desktop iTunes music files.
Francois Mahieu, director of devices at Orange UK, said: "It's great that Orange is able ... to bring this fantastic smartphone to both business and consumer users in the UK."
The Blackberry Bold became available to both business customers and consumers on Saturday August 16th.
