Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has revealed details of a new product designed to appeal to users who favour style over high-end features.
Known as the Sleek, the device is a "candybar" handset with a brushed metallic finish and "embodies sophisticated design with simple functionality and excellent performance", according to the company.
The phone still comes equipped with several features to make it competitive in the fast-moving mobile technology marketplace, however, with a three-megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity and 1GB internal memory all included.
Samsung stated that the Sleek should appeal to "a wide range of mobile users who use their phone for business, entertainment and everything in between".
The handset is set to launch in UK stores next month, although price and operator details have not yet been confirmed.
According to the latest market data from Gartner, Samsung now enjoys a 14.4 per cent share of the global handset market, making the South Korean firm the second largest mobile producer after Nokia.
