Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung is set to sign a deal to join its new handsets up with 3G network 3 in the UK, according to reports.
Korean-based Samsung has never teamed up with 3 since the mobile phone network launched in the UK over four years ago.
However, handsets such as the G800 could become available on 3 if current discussions end up in a deal being signed, Mobile Today reports. An agreement between Samsung and Vodafone has long stood in the way of 3, who have taken handsets from rival LG instead.
A spokesman for 3 told the news provider: "We're in discussion with Samsung about some of their forthcoming handsets. 3's door is open."
Earlier this week, 3 launched a new mobile phone with internet telecoms company Skype, which enables users to call Skype customers anywhere in the world for free.
