A low-priced mobile phone handset by Samsung has become the fastest Korean-made mobile phone to sell ten million models worldwide, according to reports.
The Samsung E250 has reached the milestone mark less than a year after being launched on the market, making it one of Samsung's all-time best sellers, Chosun.com reports.
During the first half of 2007, 7.9 million units of the E250 were sold worldwide. Features available on the mobile phone include a VGA camera, FM radio, MP3 player and Bluetooth. In the UK, the handset retails from £49.99.
An industry insider told the news provider: "With the continual expansion of the mobile phone market, the time needed to break the ten million mark for domestic phones is getting shorter."
Earlier this month, Samsung announced the launches three new handsets - the i450, F330 and F210.
