Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has reappointed a major distributor of its handsets 18 months after a row between the two.
Data Select, part of the Phones International group, split from Samsung after the manufacturer found Data Select importing 'grey' stock rather than buying its products direct, Mobile Today reports.
However, the Korean manufacturer has patched up its differences after the Buckinghamshire-based company pitched proposals to increase sales by new customer service initiatives. Data Select has had a managerial shake-up since the Samsung deal collapsed, with three new faces at the head of the company.
Simon Walsh, head of retail distribution at Samsung, said: "[Data Select] has reinvented its business over the last two years. It has come back to us with various ideas. It is acting in a way that will bring us business we wouldn't otherwise get."
In related news, handset manufacturer LG has halted a proposed distribution partnership with Brightstar in favour of its current arrangements with 20:20 Logistics and Data Select, reports Mobile Today.
