Samsung has rewarded five mobile users in America who used their phone to help other people, with the opportunity to carry the Olympic torch.
The Samsung Mobile Phone Samaritans included Bill Schmidt, who used his mobile to call for help for passengers in a car accident, and Mark Meyers - who pays the mobile phone bill for a single mother with a degenerative disease.
President of Samsung Electronics America DJ Oh commented: "Each of our Mobile Phone Samaritan's stories is different and unique, but they had the same result - helping someone in need."
It was also revealed that the mobile phone manufacturer donated $10,000 (£5,100) to the Willie Mays Boys and Girls Club in San Francisco, as well as organising an Olympic training session for the members.
Samsung also showed its commitment to sport with last month's launch of the miCoach phone with Adidas - the mobile phone which can help users with their workout.
