LG has announced that it will be releasing its new smartphone, the LG Lotus in October this year.
It will feature a full QWERTY keyboard to make it easier for users who need to regularly create documents and send texts, reports MobileChoiceUK.com.
The Lotus will have an in-built two-megapixel camera as well as Bluetooth capabilities so that it can be used with headsets and other accessories.
LG's new handset is housed in an "odd clamshell chassis" and, according to sources, will be available in satin black and textured purple.
In related news, Sony Ericsson has announced that it will be releasing a limited edition W910i which will have exclusive MOBO content.
Its exterior will be white and gold and will feature the standard software and capabilities on offer in the first walkman phone to boast HSDPA data speeds.
Unique to Sony Ericsson, it also utilises 'shake-control' by which users can change tracks that are being playing by a flick of the wrist.
