Mobile phone buyers who wish to acquire the new Sony Ericsson G705 will have to sign up to Orange as it has an exclusive deal on the handset.

The item will be available for purchase later this month and will offer users text messaging, email and web access, reports T3.com.

It features a 2.4-inch screen, which supports automatic rotation, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

Those who are easily lost are likely to find the inbuilt GPS system a handy addition to the phone.

The handset has 1 GB of memory and allows consumers to easily access and download of YouTube clips.

Buyers who are put off by the bulky looking BlackBerry may find this an attractive option as it has a slimline slider shape.

If the Sony Ericsson look appeals but a QWERTY keyboard is essential to meet email needs, the firm offers the Pli, which also features a 3.2-megapixel camera and stylus pen.
