Sony Ericsson and Saab have joined forces to create mobile phone technology that can be used in cars.
Because using a mobile while driving is illegal, the partnership is looking to come up with solutions so that telecommunications can still be utilised on the road.
Among the items recently developed by the company was the Bluetooth Car Speakerphone HCB-108.
However, the firm is going even further than this and is creating built-in options for drivers that are fully integrated into the dashboard.
At the Paris Motor Show, consumers will have the opportunity to try out some of the new options available.
A number of Saab models will be on show with either the Bluetooth speakerphone or the integrated systems.
Sony Ericsson claims: "With a superior audio quality, those complementary solutions offer people to stay in touch with friends, colleagues and family while on the move.
"Drivers can browse through their phonebook, answer or make calls while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel."
At the motor show, Sony Ericsson will demonstrate how the Xperia X1 handset will allow motorists to control the environment in their car through a number of touchscreen panels.
Among the things that can be customised are the ambient lighting, front and rear seat settings and the lights.
In addition to this, owners of the mobile phone will be able to lock their vehicles and open the rear compartment as well.
Recently, Visa signed a deal with Nokia to enable the credit card company to embed its technology inside the Finnish firm's handsets.
