Sony Ericsson has unveiled the slim T700 mobile phone, which combines "timeless design" and "premium features" for the mainstream market, according to the handset manufacturer.
The 10-mm thin handset boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera, built-in stereo speakers, a self-portrait mirror, a film clip download facility, colour display, bluetooth and a 512 MB memory card
"Become a real head turner with the T700," asserted Sven Totte, head of marketing at Sony Ericsson.
"Sleek and shiny, the slim elegance of the T700 gives users a premium experience at a mid-range price point, perfect for the design conscious."
The T700 will be available in black on silver, black on red and plain silver sometime in October.
Last month, Sony Ericsson reported a 70 per cent drop in profits, with second-quarter net income falling to £160 million.
Analysts say Sony Ericsson has lost ground to Nokia in the high-end handset market.
