A new mobile service from home furnishings giant Ikea is being supported by T-Mobile.
T-Mobile UK is providing Ikea with pre-paid services that will be available to the 1.4 million Ikea Family Loyalty programme members in the UK.
Customers will need to shell out an initial £10.00 investment. They will then be charged a flat-rate of nine pence per minute for calls and six pence per text message.
Ikea manager Jason Baker said: "In the current climate, where every penny counts, Ikea is offering another benefit to our loyal customers."
He added: "Family Mobile can help customers take control of your mobile phone costs."
The Swedish company has already given a free mobile phone and a SIM card with £5 of credit to all of its UK employees.
Ikea's move into the mobile phone market comes after both Tesco and Asda introduced cheap mobile packages.
