Mobile phone customers with T-Mobile can now download albums to their handsets from £6, as the operator expands its Mobile Jukebox service.
It has been revealed that the mobile music shop will utilise 3G networks to allow the download of an album in under a minute - as well as the 1.2 million singles already available.
UK entertainment manager at T-Mobile Gareth Williams explained: "We'll have a huge variety of albums available, from top ten bands such as Coldplay and The Ting Tings, to up and coming new artists."
Those who join or upgrade their T-Mobile contract will be given a free album from Mobile Jukebox before July 31st, it has been announced.
As well as a compressed version of the music, suitable for playing on mobile phones, customers will also be sent the tracks in wma format to their computer - suitable for transfer onto MP3 devices and CDs.
Earlier in the year, T-Mobile announced that it was offering three simplified price plans: Solo, Combi and Flext.
