Network provider T-Mobile will attempt to take on rivals such as Vodafone in the battle for phone customers with new sim-only deals.
The firm has issued a promise to all users signing up for its £30-a-month sim-only Solo tariff that it will match any future offers from other networks.
Sim-only deals represent a growing section of the market and an area in which T-Mobile is attempting to make headway following recent successes from Vodafone and O2, the Guardian reports.
Explaining the firm's new strategy, UK chief executive Jim Hyde said: "One of the biggest pain points [for customers] is 'I signed up for a tariff last week and now I open up the newspaper and there's a better offer with more minutes for my money'.
"What we say is
If you find somebody has a better deal, tell us and we will meet or beat it."
Customers on the Solo tariff sign up to a 30-day rolling contract. T-Mobile's price-matching promise will also cover its 18-month Combi deal.
The firm announced last week that it will cut its data roaming charges within the EU by 80 per cent from July 1st.
