The 6151 has an almost militaristic appearance. It's sleek black curves and large buttons ooze a bizarre type of visual efficiency. You could certainly not accuse the 6151 of being about style over substance. But when you look beneath the utilitarian surface, you might find that the 6151 lacks that certain something.
The 6151 is a 3G handset, which enables rapid downloads and data transfer but that is about the most technically accomplished thing about the phone. Video calling is impossible due to the position of the camera, so if you like video phones the 6151 is not for you.
Thankfully the inbuilt MP3 player makes up for this design oversight. It's solid and dependable with crisp sound quality. Loading tracks on to the phone is also a painless operation. The handset's camera is of a surprisingly low specification, weighing in at just 1.3 megapixels. Certainly nowhere near Nokia's 5 megapixel beast, the N95.
This handset is definitely something of an acquired taste. It's bizarre in the sense that it does not fall into the fashion phone section of the market or the high end, feature heavy side of the market. The 6151 tries to please everyone and unfortunately it only pleases a few. But make no mistake, this phone will not let you down with it's core features. |
