Overview Specifications
The Samsung D840 continues the Korean manufacturer's lineage of stylish slide mobile phones. It has become the norm for Samsung handsets to be extremely thin, even thinner than my chances of playing in an FA cup final. But unlike my football skills this handset is acutely attractive.

The Samsung D840 comes with a large and sharp colour screen that dominates the look of the handset. The screen is sharp and bright and it is perfect for managing the excellent menu software. The D840 feels remarkably sturdy, given its slim line shape. If you include the battery the D840 weighs in at around at a pocket friendly 100 grams.

The delicate curves and precise cuts mark this phone out but it is also impressive technically. It is slightly less well appointed than the D900 but the D840 will certainly not hang its head in shame. It has a 2 megapixel camera with flash that is capable of video capture and a built in MP3 player.

The Samsung D840 comes complete with 70 megabytes of internal memory with an option to expand even more by using the microSD card slot. This becomes very useful when you connect the Samsung D840 to a PC or laptop so you can move all your favourite tracks with ease. You can either connect by USB or, if your device is compatible, Bluetooth.

The handset possesses an ample 70MB of memory to play with which can be upgraded via the microSD memory card slot. While the D840 hasn't got fashionable 3G or HSDPA connectivity, it is a solid and accomplished handset that deserves praise. If you are looking for something slightly different and well designed this could be the phone for you.
