| Samsung's D900 offers the latest in multimedia technology with an improved slide up design for business professionals and technology hungry consumers alike.
At 104 x 51 x 13 mm, the D900 is stiletto-thin, and incredibly light, weighing in at just 93g, despite its magnesium alloy coating – this is made all the more amazing when you consider the range of available features, chief among these being the powerful 3.13 Megapixel autofocus camera, which can take super-detailed pictures and shoot high-quality MPEG4 videos. The D900 also boasts a large, 2.1" vivid 262k colour screens with a display res of 240 x 320 and a TFT layer, perfect for watching streaming videos or viewing the phone's photo book. The D900 includes a music player which handles MP3s, and all the ACC variations, and boasts incredible sound quality with a digital power amplifier and 3D virtual surround sound for an immersive stereo experience. You can use the stereo headset supplied by Samsung, or pair the phone up with any wireless Bluetooth headset. Other features such as a document viewer, email retriever (POP3, SMTP, IMAP4, SSL, TLS) and a TV-Out connection are installed, allowing for a whole range of documents (MS Office, PDF and HTML files) to be downloaded, viewed, and then uploaded to a TV screen, making presentations considerably less of a hassle. Bluetooth and USB connectivity options are also included for wireless and direct cross-platform file transfer. The built-in memory is 70 Mbytes, which is enough to get started, but if you're serious about using the phone as an MP3 player or PDA, you should buy a micro SD card to bulk this out. |

samsung d900
Review by: jacquib22 from scotland, 20th February 2008
im sorry samsung..if you give a 24 month waranty on phones which go out on an 18 month contract...at least make sure that with "normal use" they will last this long.
I was so frustrated so i bought a spare battery a new charger and a desktop charger...problem solved, and cheeper than paying for the engineers to fix a problem that i didnt cause.
on asking around it seems my phone is not the only samsung to fail on the same problem within its waranty and within contract.
come-on...samsung should know better!! people do read reviews before handing over thier hard earned money.
apart from the charging issue...i loved the d900. a very girly phone with nice ring and message tones. i loved the screnesavers. the photo and video quality was great. messaging was easy and the flip felt good.
the phone was small enough to fit into my pocket and it took knocks well.
great phone...just make sure you go very very cagey if you need to place the charger into the phone...i did and it was still described a forceful charging??!!
im going for the g600 this time, partly because i now have spare battery, chargers etc, and as it is very similar to the features of the d900 but with a little more

Warranty
Review by: Rick Fryer from West Midlands, 9th May 2008
Purchased this phone at Xmas for my girlfriend. Phone has failed as a result of a problem with the charger. Company have refused to repair or replace under warranty. Engineer has blamed misuse. According to the engineer, misuse was caused by trying to connect the charging lead to the phone???? I am disputing this rigerously.
