Samsung U700

| Overview | Specifications | Pros Vs Cons |
| Despite being made entirely of plastic, Samsung have managed to create a handset that looks like a chromed masterpiece. The Samsung U700 has been completely redesigned since its announcement at 3GSM. The U700 was previously a dark coloured handset, which was not all that striking visually. But with it's all new wing mirror type looks, the Samsung U700 is a far more striking and attractive mobile phone. The Samsung U700 should not be labelled as just another fashion handset, when you consider the rich functionality that it brings to the table. But it is hard not to be taken aback by the look of the phone. The glass like, glossy finish of the U700 really captures the attention of even the most discerning user but it is held by the fantastic build quality of the slide function and the responsive touch sensitive keys.
The U700 is much more than just a fashionable shell. For a start the phone is HSDPA compatible; Multimedia downloads are phenomenally quick so you can download tracks in a flash. The Samsung U700 also has an impressive 3.2 megapixel camera. Auto-focus is useable straight out of the box and there is also an impressive macro feature that allows you to photograph text documents. The U700 is let down slightly by the poor video camera. While recording length is only limited by the amount of free memory you have left, the resolution is so poor that the video camera becomes a fairly useless feature. The camera on the U700 is merely the beginning of a long list of functions. The U700 also includes a built in media player that enables you to listen to your favourite tracks and watch videos. It supports most of the major file formats (such as MP3, MPEG4, AAC, WMA) and performs pretty well. Storage of this media on the Samsung U700 is handled by 20 megabytes of internal memory (which is admittedly not a vast amount) that is expandable via the microSD card slot. Its advisable to get a microSD card to fully take advantage of the rapid download speeds that the U700 is capable, thanks to the phone being HSDPA compatible. The rich blend of fashionable styling and high technology make the Samsung U700 a desirable handset. Take away the video camera and its fair to say that the Samsung U700 can certainly hold its head up high against its competitors. In some areas it may even leave them for dust. |

The silver surround falls off leaving you with a shody looking phone to which the warranty doesn't cover! The battery life after 4 months is a little more than 24 hours so you need to constantly charge up every day & if you use your phone a lot the dam thing goes off. the touch keys react when they shouldn't.
the videos are crap. After sending back twice it's still the same?
don,t buy this phone stick with nokia!!!!!
