A sophisticated 3G handset aimed at music lovers, the W850i is part of Sony Ericsson's successful Walkman range of music phones. The slide-design handset features the Sony Walkman music player, featuring Mega Bass™ for improved low-end frequencies, video calling courtesy of the front-mounted lens and 3G capabilities, and a 2 Megapixel camera with flash and a 4x digital zoom. The 2" TFT screen has a resolution of 240 x 320, and can display images in 262k colours.
The W850i also introduces a truly innovative feature developed by Sony called Track ID™ - you hold the phone receiver next to any speaker, and it takes a sample and a short while later it gives you the name of the track and the artist, so next time you hear 'that song', you can use Track ID™ to find out who it is.
The W850i comes with16Mbytes of internal memory – enough to store 1000 songs – comes installed as standard; serious music fans can expand this with a Sony Memory Stick from the Pro Duo™ range. Bluetooth, Fast Port, Infrared, USB connectivity options are available making files transfers easy as pie.
You can't store as many music tracks on the W850i as you can with other music phones from the Walkman range, but if you buy a big enough Memory Stick this shouldn't be a problem. |
