New details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 show a number of upgrades coming to Samsung’s highest-end device, most of which have been received well by most.

The Fold7, which is due to come later this year potentially in July, has already had some details revealed about it, including that it will launch with Android 16 and One UI 8.0.

Some of the more unsurprising inclusions will be the implementation of the enhanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset which is found on the Samsung S25 range. It is the most powerful chipset in the Snapdragon range and this spec in particular is said to be exclusive to Samsung.

It is also said to be thinner with a smaller crease and feature a larger and stronger display when folded and unfolded, a feat that they look to accomplish with every iteration.

Rumours also state that it will be given an improved camera, with a 200MP main camera set for the device, the same that can be found on the S25 Ultra.

Other alleged new features are an improved under-display selfie camera, improved water and dust resistance, upgraded speakers and a better vibration motor than the one found on previous iterations.

If the rumours are to be believed, it’s fair to say that Samsung are planning on a fairly major upgrade for their foldable phone line, a line which hasn’t seen too many upgrades like this over the years.

We are still some ways away from Samsung revealing the latest edition of the Galaxy Z Fold phones, but with these rumours, we’ll certainly be waiting with anticipation.
