The Pixel 10 Pro keeps its polished design but introduces Tensor G5, brighter displays, improved battery life, and smarter AI features - in short, it brings meaningful upgrades over the Pixel 9 Pro.
Our Google Pixel 10 Pro Review
The Google Pixel 10 Pro takes the familiar strengths of the Pixel 9 Pro and builds on them with meaningful refinements.
It debuts Google’s latest Tensor G5 chip, improves brightness on the OLED display, enhances charging speeds, and integrates new AI tools that take advantage of faster on-device processing.
With a polished design and seven years of guaranteed updates, it’s pitched as Google’s most reliable long-term flagship yet.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Design
At first glance, the Pixel 10 Pro looks nearly identical to the Pixel 9 Pro, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both sides, flat aluminium edges, and the signature horizontal camera bar. It remains IP68 water and dust resistant, offering flagship durability.
Small design refinements are noticeable: the camera bar is subtly reshaped for better balance and the phone weighs a touch more (207g vs 199g), reflecting its slightly larger battery.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Display
The Pixel 10 Pro continues with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display at 1-120 Hz adaptive smooth display, but brightness has been pushed up to 3,300 nits peak - a decent upgrade over the Pixel 9 Pro’s 3,000 nits. This makes it much easier to read outdoors in direct sunlight.
Google has also refined the PWM dimming, reducing flicker for more comfortable viewing. Resolution stays sharp at 1344 × 2992, and HDR support is as strong as ever.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Camera
The camera hardware hasn’t changed that much: you still get a 50 MP wide main sensor, 48 MP ultra-wide with Macro Focus, and 48 MP telephoto with 5× optical zoom, and the 42 MP front camera also returns unchanged from the Pixel 9 Pro.
What has changed, however, is how the Tensor G5 image signal processor handles photos and video. Features like 100× Pro Res Zoom (formerly Super Res Zoom up to 30x), improved night photography, and steadier video stabilisation come courtesy of AI and processing upgrades. In short, the hardware may be the same, but the output is more refined.
For video, the Pixel 10 Pro supports recording at up to 8K at 24/30fps, alongside 4K at 24/30/60fps and 1080p at up to 24/30/60fps.
HDR video and cinematic blur modes carry over, but with smoother results thanks to stronger AI processing. The combination of unchanged hardware and smarter software makes for one of the most versatile mobile camera systems Google has produced.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Performance
The Pixel 10 Pro debuts the new Tensor G5 processor, built on a 3 nm process. Compared to the Pixel 9 Pro’s Tensor G4, it offers about 34% faster CPU performance and up to 60% stronger AI processing.
This translates directly into faster on-device Gemini AI, quicker app loading, and a smoother Android 16 experience.
Battery life also sees an upgrade. The capacity has increased to 4,870 mAh, slightly above last year’s 4,700 mAh, and wired charging has been bumped to around 30 W, with 0–55% achievable in about 30 minutes.
Wireless charging now includes Qi2 compatibility with PixelSnap accessories, adding a layer of convenience missing from earlier Pixels.
How much is the Google Pixel 10 Pro?
The Pixel 10 Pro launches at around £999 with storage configurations ranging from 128 GB up to 1 TB, with all models carrying 16GB RAM.
There are four colours to choose from but not all have the same storage offerings. The four colours are Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain and Obsidian, but it’s only the Obsidian that offers all storage sizes.
- 128GB (Moonstone, Porcelain & Obsidian) - £999
- 256GB (all four colours) - £1099
- 512GB (Moonstone, Porcelain & Obsidian) - £1219
- 1TB (Obsidian only) - £1449
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Our Verdict
The Google Pixel 10 Pro is an evolution of an already polished device. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but the brighter screen, faster charging, smarter AI, and longer support window give it genuine improvements over the Pixel 9 Pro.
