The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is a premium foldable flip phone that elevates Motorola’s Razr lineup with larger displays, stronger performance and refined design.
Our Motorola Razr 60 Ultra Review
The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra builds on the success of the Razr 50 Ultra with several meaningful upgrades, especially in processing power, display quality, battery capacity and durability. It aims to be a flagship-class foldable that competes with rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 while refining the classic flip form factor.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Design
At a glance the Razr 60 Ultra is similar in silhouette to its predecessor, maintaining the iconic clamshell look that defines modern flip phones. It measures roughly 7.2mm open and 15.7mm folded, and weighs about 199g - slightly larger and heavier than the Razr 50 Ultra (7.1mm unfolded and 15.3mm folded, 189g), primarily due to a bigger battery and stronger hinge.
Motorola introduces new premium finish options including Alcantara and wood-inspired textures that help the 60 Ultra feel more luxurious. The hinge mechanism is now reinforced with titanium, which not only improves durability but contributes to an improved IP48 dust and water resistance rating versus the older IPX8 on the Razr 50 Ultra.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Display
The phone’s internal display expands to a 7.0-inch pOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, slightly larger and smoother than the Razr 50 Ultra’s 6.9-inch screen. Peak brightness hits extremely high levels (~4,500 nits), enhancing outdoor visibility and HDR content playback.
The external cover screen remains one of the most capable in the flip phone segment - around 4 inches with 165Hz refresh - and offers full app functionality without needing to open the phone, a big advantage compared with many rival foldables that limit cover display usage.
Together, these two displays deliver a practical and eye-catching experience whether you’re checking notifications, watching videos or multitasking.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Camera
The Razr 60 Ultra adopts a dual 50MP camera setup (main + ultrawide) and a 50MP internal selfie sensor - moving away from the telephoto lens found on the Razr 50 Ultra. Images are generally sharp with vibrant colour, and the external display doubles as a viewfinder for high-quality selfies.
Video capture supports high resolutions including 8K, making this a capable shooter for a foldable, though low-light performance and zoom versatility aren’t quite on par with some slab-style flagships.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Performance
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM, a significant step up over the Razr 50 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, bringing true flagship-tier performance to Motorola’s foldable range.
This translates to super-smooth system navigation, excellent multitasking and very good handling of graphics-intensive games - performance that rivals mainstream flagships and exceeds what many competitors pack into flip phones.
Software is based on Android 15, with Motorola’s custom skin and Moto AI features accessible via a dedicated AI button, though some reviewers note that Moto AI still has room to improve compared with broader AI ecosystems.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Battery & Charging
A larger 4700mAh battery powers the Razr 60 Ultra - up from 4,000mAh on the Razr 50 Ultra - helping deliver respectable endurance for a foldable with two high-quality screens.
Fast charging at 68W wired and 30W wireless ensures quicker refuels than its predecessor, striking a good balance between capacity and convenience.
How much is the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra?
While they have been making a comeback in recent years, flip and fold phones are still sitting firmly at a premium price point.
The Razr 60 Ultra will cost £1099.99 upfront, and that is the same for all four colour variants. There is also only one storage option of 512GB available.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Our Verdict
The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra represents a meaningful evolution over the Razr 50 Ultra: sharper displays, stronger performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, improved durability with IP48 protection and a bigger battery make it one of the best flip phones around.
Compared with competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, the Razr 60 Ultra’s standout external screen and flagship performance give it an edge for power users and productivity-oriented users, though Samsung still leads in overall ecosystem polish in some areas.
