The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE delivers a familiar Galaxy S-series experience at a more accessible price, combining a large AMOLED display, solid cameras and long-term software support in a refined design.
Our Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Review
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is designed as a “flagship-lite” Galaxy device that trims some high-end specs to hit a lower price point, while still preserving the core features that make Samsung phones so appealing: a vivid screen, solid camera flexibility and robust software support..
It slots in below the main Galaxy S25 series in terms of raw power but compensates with long-term software support, a large 6.7-inch panel and respectable overall performance for everyday use.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Design
Like many FE models before it, the Galaxy S25 FE looks very similar to Samsung’s standard S-series phones, with an armour aluminium frame, glass front and back with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
Compared with the Galaxy S24 FE, the S25 FE is slimmer and lighter - down to ~190 g and ~7.4 mm thick - making it feel noticeably less bulky in the hand.
Despite this, the overall silhouette sticks closely to the Galaxy aesthetic, which means if you own one Samsung device, the S25 FE will feel instantly familiar.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Display
The Galaxy S25 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and vibrant colours.
Peak brightness levels are strong (~1900 nits), making outdoor visibility good, though it doesn’t quite match the ultra-bright panels on Samsung’s top-tier Galaxy S25 models.
Still, the sizable display is ideal for video streaming, gaming or productivity, and it holds its own among mid-range rivals thanks to HDR10+ support and deep contrast.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Camera
The rear camera hardware is a familiar triple sensor setup:
- 50 MP main wide camera (with OIS), f/1.8
- 12 MP ultrawide, f/2.2
- 8 MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom, f/2.4
Plus a 12 MP front-facing selfie camera - an upgrade over last year’s 10 MP unit.
Thanks to Samsung’s well-tuned camera app and modes, photos are generally reliable in good lighting and offer plenty of versatility. However, low-light performance and telephoto optics don’t quite match what you’d find on the Galaxy S25 Plus or Ultra models.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Performance
Under the hood is Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset paired with 8GB RAM, delivering smooth performance in everyday tasks like social media, messaging, web browsing and video playback.
Compared to handsets using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite such as the Galaxy S25 proper, the S25 FE isn’t built for the most demanding gaming or intensive workloads, but it handles day-to-day use comfortably and benefits from Samsung’s long software support promise.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Features
The S25 FE packs a 4,900 mAh battery, good for a full day of mixed use, and supports 45W wired charging, a welcome boost over the 25W speeds on the S24 FE.
Wireless charging at 15W is also supported, offering flexible juice-ups on compatible pads. The software and chipset efficiency generally help the phone deliver solid endurance for its class.
How much is the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE?
In the UK, pricing starts at roughly £649 for the base model, making it one of the more attractively priced phones that still offer many hallmark Galaxy features.
There are four colours to choose from - Navy, Icyblue, Jetblack and White - and they are all available on all storage options.
- 128 GB - £649
- 256 GB - £699
- 512GB - £799
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Our verdict
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE hits the sweet spot for many users - combining a large, vibrant display, reliable battery life, refined design and years of software support at a price that undercuts true flagship phones.
However, it’s not a dramatic leap over its predecessor, with improvements like faster charging, lighter build and a bump in the selfie camera being welcome but fairly modest.
