The Sony Xperia 10 V brings a lot to the table without breaking the bank. Designed to be compact and lightweight, the 10 V is a surprise package, with great performance and a clear display in a smaller, lighter package.

Sony Xperia 10 V: Display

With 1080p resolution on an OLED panel, HDR support, a pixel density of 449 and a 60Hz refresh rate, the display on the 10 V is very admirable, especially given its price. It adds to the long line of strong displays that Sony delivers with their mobiles - something which they deserve more credit for.

Sony Xperia 10 V: Camera

The Sony Xperia 10 V features a trio camera setup on the rear, with it being comprised of 48MP wide, 8MP telephoto and 8MP ultrawide sensors.

Despite this, the 10 V does not carry over the camera tech that the 5 V and 1 V boast, although it still isn’t too shabby.

The 10 V comes in at the same size as the 5 V, 6.1 inches, but weighs a fair bit less at 159g. It still features a longer, slimmer design with rounded edges with Gorilla Glass Victus for the front screen.

The frame and back of the phone is made of plastic, which isn’t surprising given the price point and also lends to the big weight reduction. It’s still sturdy, though, so don’t think it isn’t durable because of this fact.

The chipset within the 10 V is not the same as its siblings, the 1 V and 5 V, but still uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G, which is still a solid processor and will offer seamless productivity and entertainment.

The main component that Sony likes to advertise with the phone is its battery. Like its siblings, the 10 V utilises a 5000mAh battery, providing over a full day of charge so you can enjoy the device for longer.

One of the top features of the 10 V is its sound quality. It packs stereo speakers on the front that deliver powerful, balanced, true stereo sound to match the stunning visuals on display.

This is where the 10 V truly shines, as for all the features listed above, the Sony released it at a price of only £349, making it arguably the greatest value for money mobile on the market.

Sony Xperia 10 V: Our verdict

Sony haven’t been recognised as one of the top mobile brands on the market for some time, but their resurgence with the Xperia range has seen them produce some brilliant devices, and the 10 V is no different.

The value for money alone makes this phone one of he best out there, even up against the likes of Samsung, Apple and Google.

We can’t think of many better phones at this price point.
